Wishing You a Blessed New Year!
Dear M.M.M. friends and family,
This has been a very challenging year for us here in the mission field as I know it has been for all of God’s children but let us have confidence in whom we have believed. “A refining, purifying process is going on among the people of God, and the Lord of hosts has set His hand to this work. This process is most trying to the soul, but it is necessary in order that defilement may be removed. Trials are essential in order that we may be brought close to our heavenly Father, in submission to His will, that we may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” R&H April 10, 1894
As this year draws to a close, I cannot help but reflect on these things, and give praises to God for His providence and all that He has permitted in our lives. In the midst of our trials God pours out many blessings. I thank Him, for the helping hands He provides, through faithful hardworking volunteers, and you, dear friends, have been one of God’s richest blessings. Without you, we could have never accomplished all that God has placed before us. Your prayers, your encouraging notes and letters, and your faithful support have brought us through the toughest of times and allowed us to do the work God has called us (all) to do. I know for a fact that many times, the only reason why I have been able to keep going, is because someone was praying for me. Thank you for those prayers!
We are living in a very solemn time of this earth’s history. There is little doubt that this new year will bring about new challenges, and trials for us but we must remain focused and stay the course. Our only safety is following in Christ’s footsteps. We must be so connected to the Saviour that there is no separation between us. Christ in us, is our only hope of salvation.
Now you can sit back and as Joe used to say, get you a tall glass of water and enjoy seeing what God has accomplished during the challenging year of 2022. I pray you will be blessed as you see that in the midst of all the trials and challenges, God’s work still moves forward in this part of the vineyard. So dear friends, let us be determined to serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with all of our mind, soul and strength, knowing that we only have but a short time left.
