Keep Your Immune System Up
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Exodus 15:26
As religious aggression subverts the liberties of our nation, those who would stand for freedom of conscience will be placed in unfavorable positions. For their own sake, they should, while they have opportunity, become intelligent in regard to disease, its causes, prevention, and cure. And those who do this will find a field of labor anywhere. There will be suffering ones, plenty of them, who will need help, not only among those of our own faith, but largely among those who know not the truth.

God in His goodness and mercy gave His people a health message. I believe that those simple but powerful 8 remedies were designed to maintain our immune system up to par.
- Nutrition (Plant-Based Diet)
- Exercise (30 minutes, four times a week)
- Water (8 glasses per day)
- Sunshine (early morning hours)
- Temperance
- Air (fresh, vital country air)
- Rest (8 hours of sleep)
- Trust in Divine power (trust God with all your heart)
A good way to remember these 8 Health Laws is with the acronym N.E.W.S.T.A.R.T.
Recently, Honduras has had an epidemic of Dengue Fever, and we’ve had it right there in Santa Barbara and even as close as La Zona. Many people have died from it, especially small children. The hospitals are at full capacity, even having to place two people in one bed.
Dengue Fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection common in the tropics. Santa Barbara is not located in the tropics, and this year there is hardly any mosquitoes. But, those that have died from it die very fast, and it is such an epidemic that, to me, it is very strange.
But, we know we are living in the last days. The symptoms include a high fever, body aches, nausea and vomiting, skin rash, and in the most severe cases–nose bleeding, blood vessels may get damaged and leaky, and the platelet count of the bloodstream may drop severely, and the body becomes dehydrated.
Well, this has been the case in Santa Barbara. People have been coming out of the woodwork it seems, and running to the restaurant and the clinic asking us to make them juices to bring back their platelet count.
In fact, we felt obligated to present a seminar at the restaurant on how to prevent the Dengue Fever, and what to do to keep your immune system up.
One of the remedies that we recommended, and which is readily available in Honduras for hydrating the body is coconut water. For the cure is the papaya leaf.
We recommended that the people take three papaya leaves, take out the middle vein, mash the leaf until it becomes mush, then squeeze the juice out through a cheesecloth.
- Adults take 2 Tbsp. morning and evening
- Children take a tsp. morning and evening
- Babies take just a drop
It’s amazing how God has placed in our midst the natural remedies that are needed. We are thankful to God for the light He has given us, and that at the end, the people know where to turn for help. So friends, do keep your immune systems up.
