Our M.I.C.E.
As I write this newsletter, Honduras is in the midst of a political crisis. There is a lot of unrest, protests, and chaos in the cities and it’s affecting the economy.
There is a shortage of fuel, the banks are running out of money, and food will soon be scarce. For weeks, we have not been able to take our organic produce to the supermarkets in San Pedro Sula, because the roads are blocked. People cannot get in or out of the cities.
In times like these, the inspired word comes to mind, “Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions; for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one. We should now begin to heed the instruction given us over and over again: Get out of the cities into rural districts, where the houses are not crowded closely together, and where you will be free from the interference of enemies.”

Dear friends, we truly are living in serious times, but our God is still on the throne.
I encourage you to keep moving forward, always keeping your eyes upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Remember that we have a more sure word of prophecy. I pray that this end of the year newsletter will be a blessing and an inspiration to you. We have a lot of pictures, so you can see the faces of those we serve.
OUR M.I.C.E — Maranatha Institute of Christian Education finished it’s eleventh school year. Praise the Lord!
The children have progressed intellectually as well as practically. One of their favorite classes is agriculture. They have the opportunity to see the fruit of their labors. The ABC’s of education is a must for the education of the children.
