Ministry Matters – December 2019

“The old year, with its burden of record, is fast passing away. The new year, with all its possibilities, has been ushered in. What advancement have we made in the knowledge of Christ during the past year? Are we prepared to show, more decidedly than ever before, that we are on the Lord’s side? At this time, when the nations of the world are wavering between infidelity and idolatry, are we prepared to stand as faithful ambassadors for Christ? Shall we not, at the beginning of this new year, give ourselves and all we have to God? Shall we not listen to His voice, which calls us to a renewed contest, to a more thorough consecration of ourselves and our entrusted capabilities to His service?”

My dear friends and M.M.M. family,

I’m very thankful for each one of you. We could never have accomplished our mission here without your prayers and support. I want to specially give personal thanks to those of you who faithfully send little notes of encouragement. I may not receive them right away, but I do receive them; and when I read them, they bring tears to my eyes, because I know it is God that places the love and concern for this ministry in your hearts.

THANK YOU!!

As most of you know, Maranatha Medical Ministries began as a “mom and pop ministry” — A vision and a burden that God had placed on Joe’s and my heart to serve the people of the mountains of Honduras thru medical missionary work. God has thru the years blessed the efforts, and the ministry has grown and expanded to many different areas of ministry.

God has given me His grace, energy, health and strength, but I can’t continue to manage it all myself. So, I’m praying that God will provide the following needs:

  1. A manager for Organics of Santa Barbara, the agriculture industry
  2. A teacher for Maranatha Institute of Christian Education (M.I.C.E) for the upcoming school year
  3. A couple with a desire to serve and minister to those in need, and help with the everyday running of the outpost

This is God’s work. This is God’s ministry. And it must continue until He comes.
