Greetings, May 2024
Dear M.M.M. family,
Greetings from Honduras, where every day presents us with a unique blend of challenges and blessings. It’s a privilege to take a moment to share some of these blessings with you.
In the midst of our mission work, the words of the apostle Paul resonate deeply: “But about the times and the seasons, brothers, you don’t need me to write to you. You already know perfectly well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2). These words hold profound meaning for us as we navigate the unpredictable nature of our daily lives.
Living in this world demands that we embrace uncertainty. However, in the midst of this uncertainty, we find comfort in our steadfast faith in Jesus. He is our unwavering guide, and His words are true and faithful.
As we engage in the intricate work of our mission, it’s the simple moments of connection that reaffirm our sense of purpose. Whether it’s sharing a smile with a stranger or extending a helping hand to those in need, each gesture holds the potential to make a lasting impact on someone’s life.
The mission field often presents us with unexpected challenges, but in those moments, we draw strength from our belief that God walks beside us, illuminating the path ahead.
Here in Honduras, our days are filled with tireless efforts to uplift those we serve. Whether it’s the school children, the customers at the restaurant, patients at the clinic, the Bible study contacts, or anyone that comes to us for help. Despite the inevitable hurdles and challenges, our dedication to our mission remains unwavering.
Jesus, declared, “I must do the work while it is day. The night cometh when no man can work” (John 9:4).
