A Thorough Work
“From Christ’s methods of labor we may learn many valuable lessons. He did not follow merely one method, in various ways He sought to gain the attention of the people, and having succeeded in this, He proclaimed to them the truths of the gospel. His chief work was in ministering to the poor, the needy, and the ignorant. In simplicity He opened before them the blessings they might receive, and thus He aroused their soul’s hunger for the truth, the bread of life.”
-RH Dec 24, 1914.
“The plan of holding Bible readings was a heaven-born idea. There are many, both men and women, who can engage in this branch of missionary labor… The Bible is brought into families, and it’s sacred truths come home to the conscience… God will not permit this precious work for Him to go unrewarded. He will crown with success every humble effort made in His name.”

This is the kind of work that brother Orlando and his wife have been doing in San Manuel. It hasn’t been easy due to long distances to reach this village location. They must take two buses as well as do a lot of walking. Not only do they teach them the Bible, but also instruct them in the importance of medical missionary work, agriculture, and how to cook healthfully. The Lord has blessed their efforts and these humble souls have joyfully embraced the three angels’ messages.
